Halloween 2020 – Decorations, Food, and More

Well Halloween is almost upon us and I wanted to share some of the things that I did to get into the holiday season this year.

First off, here are some of the decorations we bought and put up. We spent over $200 at Spirit Halloween upgrading some things and well… I love our Halloween decorations. I’m thinking of keeping Frankenstein out all year long because he’s just too cool.

We also bought some new shelves that I began decorating but aren’t quite complete.

I indulged in all the fun Halloween tie-in foods.

One of the most surprisingly Halloween moments came passing through Conway, SC on the way back from Myrtle Beach. The town had all the trees on their main strip decorated with pumpkins and various ghouls littered the sidewalks. These were the only two pictures I could take at a stoplight, but man, it made me feel like I was in a Halloween movie. You just don’t see towns take the time or money to decorate anymore and it truly made me smile.

Last year, I went to Halloween Horror Nights which was a pretty big way to celebrate Halloween. This year, pandemic and all, we had to keep it a little more low key. Sadly, we didn’t get to quite as many horror movies and Halloween specials as hoped due to some work obligations, but overall I think we got into the season quite well plus we still have about a week to go!
